Below are a list of resources that may assist you while you're looking for rental housing

Daily sessions are held around the start of each semester (Jan to March and June to July). The sessions cover your legal rights and responsibilities and warn you about some of the common traps for students.
As well as rent, there are other charges associated with rental accommodation.
If you move into a vacant property, you will need to arrange your own electricity and phone account. Some properties also have gas for cooking and water heating.
The University of Queensland has its very own ISP, UQconnect, which provides all students with free Internet access including free dial-up connection from anywhere in Australia for the price of a local call. Upgrades to broadband and iBurst (wireless broadband), and other Internet services, are also available.
